Siasoco Band

Hey you, yes, all the Siasoco's out there. I had a great summer and I bet you all thought I only goofed around. Well you were wrong...I spent a lot of time practicing for the...

Siasoco Christmas Band! Mom even took me to music groups (Arty Pants at the Walker Art Center) where I learned how to play the "clappers",

I examined the shaker, and

I fine-tuned my maraca playing. Watch out big cousins, I am ready to play!

Story Time = Bed Time for the Boys

Well tonight I (mom) get to blog and write to all of you. Rey and Witt fell asleep during story time. I am back to school, Rey is back to daycare, and Witt has a new schedule since summer with me at home is over. Here are a few moments I loved over the summer...
We have been to many softball games and baseball (Twins) games this summer. Rey found a glove. I guess we will have to get him one next summer...a left-handed glove, since he still favors his left hand.

We went to the Children's Museum twice. Rey loved it both times for different reasons. This is the time we went with Maren (Sarah Bleess's little girl). Rey thought she was funny as a turtle.

2 Elmo's...what a costume. Thanks again Grandma Rose! How cute is this photo.

New Playground in my Backyard!

I have a new playground! Our neighbor is now 8 and he is too big for this playground. Lucky me. I can almost crawl up the slide. I love it!

Did I mention it has 2 slides. This is the BIG slide that has waves in it.

Watch video of mom pushing me down the slide...

Juxtaposition Arts

Yesterday mom, dad and I went to a mural tour for the Arts organization that he works with. They had bubbles that were coming from the top of the building.

This is part of one of the murals we looked at. It was on the side of the building. This is a sting ray. There were all sorts of other ocean animals too!

Minnesota State Fair

Dad took the day off today and we went to the State Fair. Here we are...on the bus...on our way to the fair.

Our first stop was food. Dad wanted a corn dog. It was really great.

We also went to a barn called the "Miracle of Life". This is where all the baby animals are born while they are at the state fair. I touched a baby duck. I saw a piglet (above), a chick, and a lamb.
We ended our time at the fair with chocolate chip cookies. Ann and Shari (mom's teacher friends) gave me 2 cookies. They were still hot.
Fair = eating = Great = I can't wait til next year.

What have I been up to...

We went to the Twins game a few nights ago and mom and I got a helmet sundae. The batting helmet almost fits me!

Guess what mom found at the thrift store...a giraffe! It is so funny! I will demonstrate how it eats in the video.

Aunt Sarah and Grandma Deb just got back from Seattle. They brought me an Elmo costume that Grandma Rose got me for Halloween. It is great!

Back to School!

Good morning! Yesterday I went back to school and so did mom. I had a ton of fun! I saw all my school friends. Mom did promise to stay home with me Wednesday and Friday...I can't wait.

(P.S. Can someone tell mom to quit making fun of the drool. I can't help it, it comes naturally.)

This weekend

Friday mom and I went to Aunt Reva's house. They worked on an art project and I ate strawberries from her strawberry patch. Aunt Reva also had me try a grape tomato. I tried it...but I spit it out since it tasted funny.

Saturday mom and I went to dad's screenprinting workshop. The prints were very colorful. Dad got me a print of a brontosaurus for my room.

Today we went to the Twins game. Santana pitched and had 17 strikeouts in eight innings. It was a record! (This is why you should all be Twins fans, Uncle Chris and Tita Yanni).

The photo above is my mom, Toto (grandpa's dog) and me. Toto is staying with us while Sarah and grandma Deb are in Seattle.

Swimming at the Park

Today mom and I went to the park to the pool. It was great. We had the whole pool to ourselves most of the time. Watch the video to see how I like to play at the pool.

After the pool mom and I hung out in the backyard. We had bananas.

A visit from Maren/ Toddler Time

Rey with Wagon from Witt and Vimeo.

Baby group is really toddler group now. I saw my friends tonight! We played and ate veggies and then Leo got his wagon out. We took turns riding in the wagon. I even got to pull it!

In the morning I meet Maren and her mom Sarah (Bleess). We went to the children's museum and I showed her all the neat things in the Curious George exhibit.

They had minature golf there. Lolo you would be so proud...I hit my first hole in one!

Maren and I also looked at all of George's friends. Some of his pets live in hutches. Why? Because they are rabbits. Maren does a great impression of a rabbit!

Happy Birthday Uncle Chris!

Happy Birthday Uncle Chris! This photo is of me feeding you birthday cupcakes! They are really great...aren't they Uncle Chris. Your present is on the way (note to myself...get him a new sweatshirt for Christmas).

Scott Christy, zoo, presents...can the day get any better?

This morning when mom and I got up we made blueberry pancakes (Yummy) for my friend Caitlin and Scott Christy (dad and mom's friend from Iowa State). I had a lot of fun playing with them this weekend.

After they left mom and I decided to go to the Como Zoo in St. Paul. This is a photo of me looking at a snake fro the Amazon forest. You could get really close to it.

Of course we always start and finish with the giraffes. Oh and we have snack in the middle of the trip with the giraffes too. Today we sat on the south end where they have giraffe statues. Can you see my friend between them?

When we got home from the zoo, there was a birthday package from tita Yanni to mom. Luckily I got to open the package. (P.S. Mom asked me to say thank you tita Yanni.)

Wedding Photo Booth Picture

There was a photo booth at Anne and Aaron's wedding and we got to take some photos. Dad gave the newlyweds some advice - be careful with frame #2 to avoid frame #3.

Happy Wedding for Anne and Aaron May!

Last night we went to Anne Rosso and Aaron May's wedding reception. It was so much fun. Like my new tattoo?? It is a snake. Hiss...

There were a few kids there that I danced with. This is shirt #2 as I got my barong dirty.

They had a traveling photo booth at the wedding. They provided mustaches and tattoos and other things to wear in the photo booth.

How do I look? Shall I keep the mustache?

You can check out the other photo booth pictures by going to the Rosso/May wedding:

Children's Museum with Reva

Yesterday I went to the Children's Museum. It was so much fun! Mom took photos so I could show you some of the things I did.

This is a water table with tubes. You can put a ping pong ball in the tube and it comes out somewhere else. I loved it!!

Then we went to another area where I learned about all the things that are in a community- stores, post offices, restaurants, doctor's offices, and a lot of other things. My favorite was the grocery store. You could put things in a cart and go through the check out.

Then we went through the Curious George (no good photos...sorry). After that we went to the 4th floor where they had a art sculpture garden. This is the sandbox. It was really fancy.

After that we went to a place called "earth world" where they had a stream (with plastic crayfish and frogs), a beaver dam, an ant hill you could climb through, and storm making machines. I was sad when we had to leave, but I was also tired. (I fell asleep while we were out eating.)

After my nap we went back to Reva's house and my cousin Mark and Aaron (cousin David's son who is visiting from California) Rasmussen were there. We played outside and ate Japanese ice cream. Yummy!

Thanks for the great day!

Birthday Breakfast

Dad and I went to "Cupcake" and got mom 6 different cupcakes. My favorite was mudpie. It had a gummy worm in it and looked like dirt.

Untitled from Witt and Vimeo.

Dad got up early this morning. Mom and I woke up to hash browns and ketchup. I hope he makes them for me on my birthday!

Thanks for the xylophone grandma. It came in really handy when I sang Happy Birthday to mom. (By the way...check out the new clothes, mom is moving me up a size- 2T! I am growing a lot this summer.)

Blogging....

Whe I am ready to blog (or read about Elmo or giraffes on the internet) I go into the office, hop up on the chair, and wait for mom or dad. I can't wait to work on the computer by myself, they are really slow.

This is from the other day at dad's work. He had a weird looking robot at his office.

Walker Sculpture Gardens

We tried to go to Arty Pants at the Walker today, but it is not until next week. I still had a ton of fun. My friend Evan (we have the same birthday) came and brought his little sister Acacia. Acacia and I played in the sprinklers at the sculpture garden. We got really wet!

Evan was a little scared of the water, but that did not stop him from chasing me.

After they left we went into dad's office. (Oh...don't forget to check out the counting and the new haircut!)

Birthdays and an anniversary!

Happy anniversary grandma and grandpa Hance!
Happy Birthday Lori! I hope you are having fun in Hawaii.
Happy Belated Birthday Ritu!

Giraffe's are Great

Grandma bought me this shirt at the zoo.
Two great things about this shirt:
1) It has a giraffe on it and
2) It is a little big so I can wear it for a long time.
Thanks grandma.
