Storytime with the Uncles

We got to spend our last night in town with Ricco and Guy's good friends Jeannie, David, Jonah, and Hazel. We had a great meal and at one point Guy and Ricco became day care providers. Dual storytime.

Harvard Museum of Natural History

After looking at living animals at the zoo, Uncle Ricco and Uncle Guy took us to the Harvard Museum of Natural History to look at dead animals.

This is the biggest shell that we have ever seen.

At one point in time Rey told us that he didn't want to be called "Rey" anymore, he wanted to be called "Hammerhead." Hammerhead posing with a hammerhead.

Sometimes it's better when the animals are stuffed.

The Great Hall of Mammals.

Cool stuffed animal displays.

Animals in formaldehyde.

This is the skeleton of an ancient sea creature.

  More awesome stuffed animals.

A walrus skull.

Rey looking at at animal that his dad boiled in P-town.

As you can tell by the photo, Ricco is bored by museums of science.

Amethyst.

Whew, exhausted just writing about it.

Franklin Park Zoo

On our last day in Boston, we got together with Nathan, Melissa, Gillian, and Georgia for a trip to the Franklin Park Zoo (the zoo featured in ZooKeeper). It was great to catch up and check out animals.

There was plenty of stuff to play with.

The kids examined the butterfly garden while the grown-ups caught up.

Here's a photo of the aviary - you could feed the birds!

Smiles all around.

Run Yourself Ragged

Even the bus stops in P-town are beautiful. We have been spending a lot of time  here waiting for the bus.

It's on the border of P-town and Truro.

Behind us you can see the Provincetown Library tower.

It's not uncommon for us to visit the library with Rey, especially when their is a gigantic boat docked in the middle of the children's section. Check out some more info on this beautiful library here.

After the Library, we boarded a ship and set sail on a adventure to see whales.

Thar she blows!!!
