Whadya Say Rey?

Today we kick off a new segment of the blog called "Whadya Say Rey?" Up until now, I have only been able to type a response to your questions. This morning dad and I found out how to record my voice. NOW if you have any questions, I can respond in my own voice.

Check out the first installment of "Whadya Say Rey?" by clicking on the image below.

Grumpy Pants

It was really hard to go back to Mary's after 5 days of being with my mom and dad. Mary told my mom that I screamed and cried all day long. I even fussed and wined all night until I went to sleep. I miss my Des Moines family! Hopefully today will be better.

Congratulations Tita Jenny and Uncle John!

This is a photo of my Tita Jenny and me. Her boyfriend, John, asked her to marry him and now I have a new uncle. Congratulations Tita!

This is a typical afternoon at Lola and Lolo's house. Lots of people, waiting for the next round of food. A lot of people came over to visit on Sunday - it was so much fun!

This morning Tita Yanni and I danced to Dan Zanes. I clapped and shook my head a lot. Click on the photo to see the video.

We just dropped Tita and Tito off at the airport and I already miss them...and my mom and dad miss them too! I hope we see them this summer!

Play Time!

After naps at Lola and Lolo's we get to play!

...and read books!

Lolo's House = Nap Time

Everyone gets to take a nap with me when I am at Lolo and Lola's. I think they pump sleeping gas through their vents.

Wake up Lolo! It's time to play!

Great Grandma Doris

This is my mom's grandma, my grandma, and me. We went to visit her for lunch today. It was so nice out today that we all went for a walk. She smiled at me and is very proud that I am her grandson!! I love you great grandma Doris!!

Ahna and Sophie

This is my cousin Sophie. She lives in Des Moines. She was showing me how the bunny wiggles his nose and tail, how he hops, and the funny noise he makes. She is a great cousin!! I can't wait to see her at Christmas.
This is my other cousin Ahna. She was chasing me all over her house this afternoon. She is a lot of fun. She let me sit at the big kids table for my snack. Later on we went to her house and her mom, my aunt Holly, trimmed my hair so it would not hang in my face. I look very GQ now. Thanks aunt Holly!!

I'm Happy Today!!

This morning we were singing "If your happy and you know it clap your hands.....clap...clap...." I really like this song.

Turkey Day!

After a long ride from Minneapolis, we finally made it to Des Moines! Lola had some new toys for me to play with and I had a lot of fun playing with Tita Yanni, Lola, and Tito "Puente" Anthony. Lolo said that he didn't want to be on the blog, so we aren't including a photo of him. More pitcures later.

Bubbles finally makes the blog!

Here's our family portrait. I guess we need to find out how to get Zeb, our fish, in the photo.

Here I am hard at work on my new blog post. Dad is always trying to interupt me while I am working.

I have been learning how to say goodbye by waiving. I always get sad when Mommy leaves.

My Daddy is #1!!

One of my favorite people is my dad. He is great because he takes good care of me and lets me ride on the top of his shoulders. When I am up high I like to feel and taste the texture of his hair. I left him a nice present on his head...a pile of slobber!!
See my dad. See me on my dad's shoulders. Dad put me on his shoulders and then he ran really fast!! It was so much fun, I screamed really loud!!

Sunny weekend with Uncle Chris and Lori

This is my Ucle Chris. He came to Minneapolis to see me. He also went to the Iowa vs Gopher game. He wore a really ugly sweatshirt.

This is Lori. She played with me all weekend. Maybe she can be my girlfriend too??

We also went to the Gutherie Theater. They had windows with mirrors inside of them. This is a photo of me and my twin. Can you see the river in the background??

Tonight Uncle Chris and Lori are leaving. I can't wait til they come back. Thank you for visiting me. I already miss you both!!

The Magic of Mary Poppins

This afternoon my grandma and uncle Chris took me to the Mary Poppins show downtown. Dad and I were really happy we did not have to wait in a long line.

My Uncle Chris carried me through the exhibits.
This is Mary Poppins with her friend on a carousel.
I like eating Uncle Chris's sweatshirt ties.
After the exhibit I sat on Santa's lap...
I cried, but mom and dad got a picture...
the photo will be posted soon.

Give me the keys!

I'm going to Des Moines and I will drive there if I have to.

Grandma and Grandpa Hance arrived this morning and brought me a car!

Sqiurmy Worm

It's really hard for dad to help me write my blog when I am crawling around all over the place, so he had to put up some old photos.

These new snacks are almost bigger than my head!

Finishing off a Big Day

To finish off the big day, Dad and I met Mom at Elsie's where she and some teachers were bowling against the Edison bowling team. The teachers lost.

I even got to bowl!

After bowling, I ate a huge meal - sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, and my first pickle.

Also you'll be happy to know that Dad finally got some video of me pulling myself up from sitting to standing. Click here to watch the video.

Field Trip to the Museum

Dad and I went to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts today. We took a couple pictures before the batteries in the camera died.

Here's dad and me in front of a Van Gogh. The bright colors made me want to grab it.

...and crawled around in front of a Chuck Close painting. Grandpa Hance and Grandma saw a Chuck Close exhibition at the Walker on one of their visits to Minneapolis.

I had a fun time, but it really cut into my nap time.
