Softball Friends

This is from dad's softball team. While the adults are playing ball, we play and also offer strategy on how to win the game.

Gillian (Matt and Gail's girl), Grace (Nancy and Dave's girl), Johanna (Sarah and Jake's girl), and me are featured in the stylin' wagon!

A day at the Park

Aunt Sarah suggested this really great water park by her house. We meet her and Grandma Deb there in the afternoon. It was a lot of fun.

Oops...I was wandering around the water field by myself and all of a sudden it exploded. I was a bit surprised!

This is the crocodile Sarah and I rode. The crocodile says "Aarrgh!"

Snacks with the Giraffes

This morning mom and I went to the Como Zoo in St Paul. After watching the seals I decided I needed a snack. What better view...a seat in the shade with a great view of the giraffes. The giraffes crack me up with their long necks and legs. We even got a book about baby giraffes before we left. They are one of my favorite animals!

Our first and last stop at the zoo is always the duck pond. Who needs all the exotic animals (except the giraffes...of course) when you can watch ducks and ducklings?

Kicking it...

Yesterday dad was trying to show me how to kick the ball. Little does he know...I have been practicig in secret. Watch out uncle Chris, aunt Sarah, and the rest of you who like to kick balls!

Playing in Puddles...

While mom watered the plants this afternoon, I found a nice puddle of mud in the sidewalk. At frst I just put my toes in it, then I realized if I sat down I could really smush my toes deep into the mud.

After all the fun in the mud...I had dirty toes, shorts, and shirt. Mom made me take a bath!

Go Twins!

Tonight mom and Aunt Sarah are going to the Twins game. I am staying home. At first I was sad because I love the Twins, but then mom told me grandpa and grandma Deb would be coming over to play. I can't wait!

This is a photo of me from an older game with my friend Jamie. Jamie and I would like to say to the Twins "Go Pirahnas, let's win Twins!"

I love summer!!

Now that mom is off for the summer she has been baking cookies and other sweets. Mom made the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies again. I hope they are done soon.

At night we play lots of games. Last night we stacked blocks. After a while I got bored with that and I put the block on my arm and played with the lighted ball in the house.

I am having a great summer.

I love Elmo!

Elmo was a little scared in the car yesterday. Luckily mom had an extra pacifier.

Swimming at the Hotel

While we were in Milwaukee dad took me into a really deep pool.

At first I was really scared, then I put my arms around him and I felt much better! I even dunked my entire head (4X).

More from the Cabin...

After the cabin we stopped at Paul Bunyan's Amusement Park. Mom said that her and uncle Chris had been there before. Inside the park there is a 4 story statue of Paul Bunyan, the guy who made all the lakes in Minnesota with his footsteps. We were going to go into the amusement park, but it cost $12 a person. Not worth it just for a photo so we settled on Babe the Blue Ox, Paul's pet.

Here is another photo of the bites from the bugs up north. I see 5 in this photo. Can you see more? (P.S. No worries Lola, they do not itch. Grandma put Emu lotion on them to stop the sting.)

This is my 4th of July firecracker. When you press a buttom it spins and a bunch of lights flash. I love it. Mom's godmother Judy gave it to me to celebrate. We visited her at her lake house near our cabin.

Happy 4th of July!

Hello from Up North! Mom, dad, and I went to a cabin on Lake Washburn. We met grandma, grandpa Hance, my cousins, my aunt Amy and my uncle Hance...a lot of people and a lot of fun!

This is a picture of our cabin in the woods.

On the 4th of July we went into town and saw a parade. We saw a lot of fire engines in the parade. Happy 4th!!

We also spent a lot of time at the lake. This is aunt Amy, cousin Sarah, and I building a castle. I am sitting in the moat.

Our moat keep getting bigger and bigger. Livia was making sure our castle did not fall.

Dad eventually came over and added a second castle so we could have a guest house for visitors.

At night we would hang out in the cabin. Grandma bought me a rocking horse. Livia helped me get on the horse.

After I got on the horse Livia showed me how to "neigh" like a horse.

We also went to the lake behind the cabin. Grandma loves to row. She took me out on a boat.

On the lake I saw a beaver dam, lots of lily pads, yellow and white lily pad flowers, frogs, weeds, and lots of fish.

Daddy and I also went for lots of walks. The woods were really pretty.

This is a photo of 3 of my bug bites on my forehead. Dad took photos of my legs and arms too. I have a lot of horse fly bites, a few mosquito bites, and I survived my first bee sting. It is all worth it though...I loved the beach, the boat, the ice cream, the M & M's, and my family.

I already miss my cousins. Livia promised to teach me how to make a lemonade stand next year on the beach. Well...our vacation is over...can't wait til next year.

Barong and Strawberries

Mom and dad bribed me into a photo shoot at Aaron and Swan's wedding. Check out my new barong and new shoes - thanks Lola!

I guess they think that they can pay me in strawberries now.

Milwaukee Day Two!

In every city that we visit, dad mkes us go to an art museum and mom makes us go to the zoo, so on day two we went to the Milwaukee County Zoo.

We went to the petting zoo and they tried to eat me. Luckily mom had some food so we could pet them.

Zebras!

Camels!

We took a lunch break. Grandpa Hance, Lolo, and Tita Yanni will be happy to know that I am a member of the ketchup freak club. I slathered it all over my pizza, dipped my fries in it and licked the ketchup off.

Reindeer!

Seals!

Here's a really dark video of the aquarium - WHOA!

Milwaukee!

This weekend we went to Milwaukee to attend Aaron and Dawn's (friends of dad's) wedding reception.

Every visit dad drags us to an art museum, and Milawukee was no different. We made a trip to the Milwaukee Art Museum, one of the city's icons. The wings flap when the museum opens, at noon, and at closing time!

This is one of the weirdest Chuck Close paintings that I have ever seen.

I wish one of these televisions was playing Veggie Tales.

Here's an Auguste Rodin, a famous sculptor.

The interior of the Milwukee Art Museum is cross between the Love Boat and the Starship Enterprise. What a fun day!
