My old boss at the Walker, Christi, gave us a condo in Grand Marais, so we packed up the car and headed right into a snowstorm. Guy and Ricco joined us for the fun.
Rey and Holly strapped on the snowshoes for hike. Here's the beautiful view of Lake Superior (these photos were taken from the condo's deck).
Most of time was spent inside napping, playing games, and reading.
On Monday, we went to Lusten to take Rey skiing for the first time. After a couple hours of buying tickets and getting the proper equipment, we finally made it to the bunny hill.
Rey did an incredible job, as witnessed by the video below. At first, I ran down the hill with Rey and caught him when he was going to fast, but eventually we found a better method for training him using ski poles.
After an hour or so of practice, we mustered up enough courage to take him on a bigger hill. This meant getting him on a chairlift. Yikes. Getting on was easy enough. Fortunately for Holly, we don't have a video of Holly and Rey getting off the lift!
As we were driving out, another big blizzard was starting. Here's Rey trying to get me stop taking photos before we got in the car for the white-knuckled drive to Minneapolis.
