Heartwood Parade

Ella helped me out at work today. We painted masks and created a May Day pole. Over the past 4 weeks I have had the pleasure of working with Bart Buch, an amazing artist/puppeteer and a group of teenagers to develop the a community parade. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Kindergarten Performance

Yesterday, Holly and I went to Marcy to watch Rey sing. We got to meet some of his friends and see all of the photos from Rey's first year at school. I can't believe that he will be in 1st grade next year. We're grateful that Rey had such an awesome teacher and positive and supportive school experience.

Our friends Paul and Linda just had a little boy named Kai, so we worked on a welcome home sign for them. Ella loved the finger paints. Both of the kids got so messy that we had to paint without clothes. When we finished, Rey and I stealth-fully stuck it in their yard.

We went on a morning hike at the Apostle Islands State Park. Rey pretended he was on the planet Endor the whole time. We had a great time traipsing around in the puddles.

We took a ferry to Madeline Island and celebrated by eating ice cream! It's a chilly 50 degrees, but we are happy to be on vacation. More photos later.
