Iowa for spring break

Blank park zoo...we had the whole place to ourselves.

Ella and Lola. She is almost sitting on her own. It will be fun to hear Ella squeal after spending 6 days away from her dad.

A late nap means up later at night. It's 10:45! They both slept from 7:15-9:00

Little Noodle

Lola and Lolo were in Minneapolis last weekend and they took us to United Noodles.  Rey liked the soup despite the hour wait for the food.

Big Day

Thursday has become a field trip day for me and the kids.  Yesterday we wen to the Science Museum.  I am always so impressed by amount of interaction that this place offers.  Not only do they rotate exhibitions regularly, but they also have so many friendly knowledgable volunteers.

Here's Rey putting together a puzzle together a map the Mississippi River, illustrating it's path from the headwaters to the border of Minnesota.

Rey checked out some microscopic organisms.

Participated in a show about inertia.

After the Science Museum, we picked up Holly went to swimming lessons and had a fun-filled dinner with Jo and Jake at the Mercado Central.  Days like this make me appreciate being a stay at home dad.   Can't wait til next Thursday!

Children's Museum

Rey has been bugging me to see the Lego exhibit at the Children's Museum.  Ah, the power of marketing to children.  We ended up making the trek to Saint Paul.

Rey had a great time...

but sometimes picking your nose is just as fun.
