This Blog Will Not Die From Neglect

We haven't been too good about posting lately, but that doesn't mean we haven't been taking photos.  It's been super busy at our house, so it's especially awesome to be in Seattle this week.

After a 2 hour delay, we finally got on the plane. Ella and Rey slept most of the way.

We got to the hotel and Nina, Harry, Lori, and Chris came over for a visit.  We thought Lala and Grandpa Richard might enjoy seeing their grandkids together in one place.

The played for a while, but the 2 hr. jetlag finally caught up with Ella.  We probably would have be better off trying to take the photo earlier on in the night.  I love that Harry is try to console her.

Holly was out of town, so my mom came up from Des Moines to hang out with the kids all week. They have been having a great time and will be sad to see her leave tomorrow.

Marcy Math & Science Fair

On Tuesday we took Rey to the Marcy Math & Science Fair.

This was Ella and Rey's favorite activity. They designed and folded airplanes then floated them in this contraption below. Ella kept crumbling paper and throwing it in there.

I have no idea why a dragon was running around, but Ella enjoyed it.

We capped the night off at our favorite restaurant Sen Yai Sen Lek. Yum!

Lego Mania

Rey has really been into legos lately (especially Star Wars legos), so we made the trek to the Lego store at the Mall of America.  Their selection is insane. Rey was super excited and Ella had a great time taking legos of one color and placing them in a different colored bin.  I'm sure the employees loved us.

Sick Day Art Projects

Both Rey and Ella have been at home recovering from upper respiratory infections. I told Rey that he couldn't sit around and watch tv all day, so we painted for a good hunk of the day. Even though Ella can hold the marker, she loves scribbling on the page (and her hands and face!).
