More Photos from Last Sunday

JoJo, Jake, Mom, Dad, and I went to La Pineda last Sunday after swimming at the Y. We ate a bunch and then hammed it up for the camera.

Later that night Kaylin and Josh and Jo and Jake came over to play

We had some puppet fun and then Kaylin, the "Production Crew" took over!

Rey-Doh

Last weekend Mom and I concocted our own Rey-Doh from scratch. I made a snake, a garbage can, and some food for doggies (but not dragons).

I Go Nuts for Donuts!

On Saturday we wet to Sarah Jane's Bakery and got some donuts. Yummy!

Mom taught me to keep my eyes on dad while eating. He eats quickly and steals our food! See the example below!

Halloween Pie

I read a book called Halloween Pie and there was a recipe in the back of the book. Mom and I made it tonight. I loved it! (It is also called Pumpkin Pie.)

From the Philippines!

Today Mary was not feeling well so mom stayed home with me. It worked out really well since Lolo Sonny and Lola Menchu were still in town. We took them to the Macy Holiday Display "A Day in the Life of an Elf". They brought Lola Menchu's sister and her family along too. Lola Menchu's family immigrated to the United States today and I was one of the first to welcome them!

Fibi is Lola Menchu's neice. She is 4 years old. I had a lot of fun looking at the decorations with her.

Lolo Sonny hung out with me all day. This is the tree that the walrus and donkey were decorating.

At the end....we saw Santa. I sat on his lap and told him what I wanted.

Then I went downstairs to write him a letter so he would not forget!

Welcome to the U.S. Fibi and family!

Lolo Sonny and Lola Menchu are here!

Lolo Sonny and Lola Menchu are here tonight! They are picking up relatives from the Philippines tomorrow so we took them out to our new favorite restaurant in NE.

After we ate dinner (and ice cream) Lolo Sonny gave me a shoulder ride home.

My First Movie!

On Friday, we went to see Madagascar 2. It was my first time seeing a film at the movie theater! Dad must have been tired from his trip to Houston because he snored in my ear all the way through the movie!

Buzz, Woody, my horse, and their friends are keeping me and mom company this morning since you are in Texas. We miss you! We love you! Have a great day! (P.S. We have 1/2 inch of snow and there is freezing rain. It is cold! Enjoy Texas!)

Bath Time

Mom made my hair look super crazy. I made her take another "normal" picture for the blog too.

Mom and I went to the thrift store today and I found a small Buzz Lightyear and his friend Woody.

Kaylin's Over!

We have not played together in a long time. First we played with Sesame Street then we went into the tent and had pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (Aunt Lori's yummy recipe)!

I have been wearing underwear a lot lately. Tonight I did not wear a diaper so I had to use the potty. Kaylin and I practiced together then we washed our hands with pink soap.

Des Moines for a Day

Mom and I went to Des Moines for the day. We took Jon and Kelsey to see Drake University. In the morning I woke up really early and I had my leftover McDonalds for breakfast after my first breakfast of cereal.

Then we meet Lola and Lolo at the Botanical Center. This is a waterfall we saw that had 2 turtles swimming in the water.

Lala and me.

There was a fossil digging area at the Botanical dinosaur. I found bones and lots of dinosaurs in the sand.

Lolo, Lola, and me.

We came home later Saturday. Jon brought 101 Dalmations for us to watch in the car.

Thank You Christi!

Christi, dad's co-worker, went to Spain and brought me back a shirt and pants. Not sure if this is something that I will wear in public, but they make for great pajamas! Thanks Christi!

Dia De Los Muertos

Last Saturday was The Day of the Dead, so we went Mom and Dad threw us in the bike cart and trekked down to South Minneapolis. Our first stop was In The Heart of the Beast Puppet Theater. Dad thought that they might have a Halloween/Day of the Dead inspired show, but it ended up being a show about a hobo and his run ins with the law. It was fun nonetheless.

Kaylin and I are like an old married couple. We share meals...

...and wear matching jackets.

After the puppet show we crossed the street and ate lunch at the Mercado Central, a large Latino co-op full of food vendors and other stores.

To wrap up the afternoon, we went to a playground. Needless to say, both Kaylin and I fell asleep on the way home.

Visit from Aunt Sarah!

This weekend was so much fun because Aunt Sarah was here all weekend! On Sunday we went to Punch's for lunch. Yummy pizza!

After we took "hiked" down by Saint Anthony Falls where we played with sticks...

...skipped some rocks...

...and hung out on logs in the middle of a stream.

When we got back to the house, we colored outside. What a beautiful weekend! Thanks for coming Aunt Sarah!

Happy Halloween!

The pumpkin on the right is mine. It is a happy pumpkin. Mom made a happy pumpkin too. On Halloween night mom put green eyeshadow on my face, I borrowed mom's witch's hat, I found the broom Grandma Deb gave me to help mom clean, dad lent me a cool black shirt with a skull on it, and to finish the costume off....a black cat trick or treat bag. What a great costume!

Trick or treat!

Aunt Sarah was here for Halloween. She and mom took me trick or treating.

Fall Photos

This is a photo of me in my witch hat. I was supposed to be Frankenstein, but I loved the witch hat so much that I decided to be a witch at the last moment. I even practiced being a witch while I made people's Halloween cards. (The apron is from my cousins- Hancey, Olivia, and Sarah- I wore it while I made Halloween cookies).

Hey Ann- check out my bubble blowing technique. Pumpkin bubbles are fantastic.

Mom raked the leaves the other day then she let me jump into the big pile. Weee......
